"japan exchange"
Just came back from japan and i must say that my experiences there had been marvelous. I got to know many new ppl, their culture plus widening my vision & knowledge. The 2 days at tenri junior high school band were the most remarkable & memoriable of the whole trip. I was able to see the attitude,manners,behaviour,determination & approach they have towards music. I also finally realised why the japanese are able to attain such high status in music. I have learnt quite alot from the tenri's tpter in terms of their warming up & their attitude. Just a mere age of sec 2s-3s, all of their standard were as gd as song ren & this applies to the other section as well. In percussion everyone's strokes were as good or better than shawn & in trombone there was this kawaii chubby gal that look like grace & her sound was so strong, u really can't judge a book by it's cover. Their concert was an awesome one & if u have watched swing girls, i must say their standard was way better at such an age, with all the sharp & difficult moves & still being able to play that well. However, our concert to them was a dissapointing one. It might be due to the inferior complex we felt or we were intimidated by them, we sounded total crap & it was worse than impression 8. Nevertheless, they didn't treated us with any difference & u won't feel a tinge of arrogance nor proudness in them although their techniques & skills were way better than us. Thats the difference between spore's & japan's musician,they are always so humble.
During sectionals we enjoyed ourselves alot with all the communication breakdown & all. There was the powerful miwa san,cute hiroyuki san,kawaii hitomi san,sayoko & sayoka san. I really am interested & adore hiroyuki san too bad hes younger than me & the most saddening part is hes attached!! =(
Another great thing abt jap is their service.Enter any shop there, u will instantly feel the difference in attitude.They are oberservant as well..like we have finished drinking & they will take the initiative to show us the way to the dustbin when we never even asked for. The packaging of all the food are all nicely wrapped up for u & the amazing part is they have not used a single scotch tape.
The next great thing of jap is it's ppl.All the ppl there are just so kawaii,handsome & pretty!
Guys who go jap will benefit from the micro skirts,low cut shirts,fair complexion of the high sch gals while the gals who go jap will benefit from the kawaii & handsome lookings high sch boys=)
The saddening part throughout this whole trip is the band's discipline which was a total disgrace to our sch,the depart with the tenri band's students,the high standard living of japan that even the smallest thing will cost quite a bomb,the laughters,gossips crapping we have shared & lastly returning back to spore which is the most saddening part of all!
Anyway japan is just such a fun & awesome country with their ppl, service,packaging,food & all. Its so great that u won't wanna come back to singapore.No wonder their tourism rate is so high!
I promised myself that after Os i will start working earn my keepings & be back to jap!!
